Gini Campbell Annis is a popular Reno artist specializing in commissioned oil portraits and still life paintings. She has been a respected instructor for over 15 years, teaching classes from her studio and at Truckee Meadows Community College. Gini has had several solo shows on the west coast, including Faces of Nevada – People of Value, The Unknown Rose, and The Magic of Realism. She had been involved in many art organizations and groups, including Artown, Artouring, Nevada Artists Association, Nevada Portrait Workshop, Portrait Artists of America, and Artist’s Co-op.

Classes

Classes include instructional and open studio types for adults and teens. The instructional class focuses on the fundamentals of oil painting and how to use the fundamentals to create the illusion of depth and form. Color mixing, composition and brushwork are also covered. Open studio is designed for the artist desiring guidance and assistance with personal development.

Monday 9-12 adult

Monday 3:30-5:30 teen

Tuesday 5:30-8:30 adult

Wednesday 9-12 adult

Class Fees:

$100.00 per 4 week session

$35.00 for drop-ins

Portraits

Gini is an accomplished and respected portrait artist, whose work is of heirloom quality. She has been commissioned to do portraits of Federal Court Justices, ministers, sports celebrities, academics, bridal couples, families, children, and costumed individuals of heritage to name a few.

A portrait of a loved one is a lifelong, cherished treasure – one that will be passed down from generation to generation.

Prices are quoted on an individual basis.

The Gallery

The gallery is designed to showcase local artists and their work. It will include all types and genres of paintings, sculpture, pottery, glass, jewelry and gourds.
